Reactive Resins Epoxy Resins and Hardeners

Syntac & Synamin epoxy resin and hardener systems for marine applications

Syntaflex EPPU - hybrid resin. Syntaflex EPPU 20 - with 20% polyureathane. Syntaflex EPPU 50 - with 50% polyureathane. for deck seam filling.

Combined with Synamin 200 series hardeners cure at ambient temperatures . Synamin 201, Synamin 220, Synamin 250, Synamin 260.

Synamin 300 series hardeners have been designed for use with Syntac liquid epoxy resins for laminating foam cored hulls and other structures where high strength and good heat resistance are required. Synamin 300 - 340 range all with varying working lifes.

Reactive Resins Epoxy Fillers and Fairing Materials

The Easy Fair range of two component epoxy filling and fairing materials cater for all boat building and repair requirements. The range includes:-

Easy Fair T. A quick curing, low density trowel-able epoxy filler that is easy to apply and quick to sand.

Easy Fair S. A lower viscosity spread-able version of Easy Fair T.

Easy Fair SEU. A roller applied sand-able epoxy under coat designed for removing roller stipple and surface defects in epoxy osmosis treatment and other coatings.

Easy Fair HB. A spray-able high build easy sand filler-undercoat

Easy Fair HD. A hard, high density trowel-able epoxy filler

Millifibre W white cellulose fibres - MILLIFIBRE W is excellent for giving body to the resin to enable it to be used more easily as an adhesive and improve its gap filling properties.

MillcellL glass micro balloons - A low density filler that can be mixed with epoxy resin to make an easy to sand low density filler. However, a pre-mixed filler such as Easy Fair is easier to use and is dust free.

Colloidal Silica is used as a thixotropic (thickening) agent but it must be mixed in with a high sheer mixer to avoid making the resin brittle

Timberseal PS is a low viscosity, solvent free epoxy wood primer which penetrates into timber saturating it before curing.

Timberseal. UC is a tough, flexible epoxy coating for waterproofing and protecting timber above and below water.

Timberseal. CV is a clear, solvent free, high build epoxy coating system which contains a high level of special additives which greatly improve its adhesion and water resistance.

Reactive Resins Polyurethane Varnishes

Synacryl coatings are two part, water based acrylic urethanes.

Synacryl G is a two part gloss coating that is recommended for use in exterior applications where long term weather resistance and colour retention is required.

Synacryl CV is a two part, water based acrylic urethane varnish that is quick drying and cures to a perfectly clear coating that is extremely tough and durable.

Reactive Resins Osmosis Prevention

Safeguard LVP is a low viscosity primer for gel peeled grp.

Safeguard EA is low solvent epoxy waterproofing coating made for amateur use. It is easy to apply and has a long over-coating window so that one coat can be applied per day.

Safeguard TSF is a totally solvent free waterproofing coating that cures quickly and can be over-coated within a few hours enabling rapid completion of the job.

Safeguard PS is a low viscosity primer that is applied over the finished osmosis prevention treatment before application of antifouling.

Reactive Resins Filler and Fairing

Easy Fair T and S fillers are light weight, waterproof two component epoxy compounds that are easy to mix and apply and are easy to sand to a perfect finish. Together with Easy Fair HB, high build spray-able filler and Easy Fair SEU sandable epoxy undercoat they cater for all marine filling and fairing requirements above and below water.

Reactive Resins Paint and Anti-Fouling Remover

Strippit antifouling remover has been designed to remove old antifouling and conventional paints from GRP craft with the minimum of effort without damaging the gel coat or epoxy coatings. It is effective on most types of self polishing and leaching antifouling.
