Nautix Surface Preparation treatments

Nautix SD is especially recommended for the preparation of surfaces to be painted, mainly GRP new hulls, to eliminate wax and unmoulding tracks.

S.D. is a powerful solvent recommended for cleaning the tools used for resin application.

This product is way less volatile and flammable than acetone. Do not use this product on hatch cover and porthole.

NAUTIX A.S. paint stripper is recommended to remove enamels, varnishs, and non-slip Nautix grip. It’s particularly adapted to strip antifouling, except those containing tin.It does not attack gelcoat and does not contain neither acid nor base.Nautix A.S. is a degradable product to respect the E.C. directive concerning boat hull cleaning : no soil pollution, no use of fresh water.

Apply a thick coat over a 1 sqm area. Leave 30mn to impregnate.Scrape off with a metalic spatula. Clean with Nautix DA or Sd and sand with 320 paper grade when dry.

A full stripping is recomended every 3 seasons.
